Alex & Lee
One good thing to come out of 2020 was Alex and Lee’s Covid-safe wedding in Central London.
After initially planning a celebration for 120 at the London Canal Museum in April, plans were adjusted and adjusted again as the first Lockdown then Tier system came into play. They took the stressful gamble that a later date should be OK and they were able to enjoy a significantly smaller but equally as fantastic wedding in between Tier 3 and Lockdown 2 – a window of just a few weeks in October 2020.
Alex and her bridal party got ready in one of the St Pancras Renaissance Hotel suites…
…whilst Lee got ready in their apartment next door.
The vibrant bouquets and button holes were created by Moyses Stevens in St Pancras International station.
Alex’s Dad walked her to her waiting fiancé on the Grand Staircase…
…and then the couple took a white London Taxi from Charlesworth Classic cars…
…to Islington Town Hall where a suitably social distanced ceremony for just 12 guests took place.
After a few group photos outside, the guests headed back to St Pancras whilst the couple (and Sam) got the taxi to the waiting canal boat.
We then set off on an hour-long journey through the Islington tunnel and into King’s Cross with a slight detour to give a gentle nod to the London Canal Museum en route.
Guests were waiting at the Granary Steps and a few more photos took place as we walked back through King’s Cross to the St Pancras Clocktower.
And a quick pause to get some couple shots in the beautiful St Pancras International station and back inside the hotel…
Great speeches, a very tasty curry meal, lovely macarons from Mademoiselle Macaron and an ice-cream cake from Ruby Violet topped off the day.
